The Property

Located in the sought-after village and civil parish of Kirk Ella, this beautifully maintained home combines traditional character with modern family living. The property features spacious reception rooms, high ceilings, decorative cornicing, and warm timber flooring, creating a welcoming and elegant interior throughout.

The homeowners wanted to enhance the connection between adjoining rooms while preserving natural light and maintaining the home’s refined aesthetic. Existing solid internal doors created separation between spaces and limited the flow of light through the property.

The Requirement

The client was looking for a contemporary solution that would:

• Maximise the flow of natural light throughout the home
• Retain privacy where needed without losing visual space
• Complement both the traditional features and modern décor
• Provide a premium, architectural finish that would elevate the interior design

A key consideration was finding a solution that would feel sympathetic to the character of the property while introducing a bold and stylish modern feature.

The Solution

We installed bespoke Aluspace steel-style internal glazing systems throughout the property, replacing the existing solid doors with elegant black-framed glazed doors.

The slimline aluminium frames introduced a striking architectural element while allowing light to move freely between spaces. The RAL 9005 black finish created a beautiful contrast against the soft neutral walls, decorative detailing, and natural wood flooring, giving each room a refined contemporary look.

For the larger opening between reception rooms, double glazed Aluspace doors were installed to create flexibility between open-plan living and private spaces. In narrower areas, single glazed doors provided a stylish transition while maintaining sightlines across the home.

To complete the installation, the doors were fitted with stunning antique brass Velino Lever on Round Rose handles, adding a luxurious finishing touch that perfectly complemented both the contemporary steel-look frames and the home’s traditional character.

The completed installation successfully transformed the interior, delivering:
